Jamie and Michael met through a mutual friend. They began their love story over text messages. Head over heels, Michael drove over four hours across Arkansas to meet Jamie for the first time. They've been together ever since! After a few years of dating, Michael asked Jamie to attend a firemen's Father's Day event. Jamie happily agreed to come along, but was a little hesitant when she was asked to assist Michael in an 'training exercise.' Afraid of heights, Jamie reluctantly climbed into the firetruck's bucket and hugged Michael tightly as they rode up the ladder. Once 100 feet in the air, Michael surprised Jamie with a proposal and a beautiful one-of-a-kind ring. She said YES...
Chanda Camden is an amazing therapist and a specialist of EMDR. Our husbands have known each other for many, many years, so I've come to learn that Chanda is much more than your average therapist and is truly an amazing person. She's a fantastic wife and mother, a hard-worker, a singer and a healer. She also has awesome fashion sense! Recently Chanda started her own therapy practice and asked me to take some headshots for her website.
Here are a few of my favorite images from our session together:
Pamela and I have known eachother since college. We were sorority sisters and shared many Political Science classes together during our four years together in Fayetteville. She and her husband, Jim, live in Little Rock now and have the cutest and spunkiest little daschund, Charlie. I love photographing friends and what makes taking their portraits even better is when they love their photos. Pamela emailed me last night saying "we love these photos. LOVE." Those words always bring a smile to my face and make me so happy that my clients enjoy my work as much as I do!
Here are a few of my favorite images from Pamela and Jim's Holiday mini session:
Today's post has a dual purpose. First, I want to share with all of you the portrait session of one of my favorite friends and her lovely parents. Second, I want to share a few of the holiday card designs I have for 2010!
I love Fall for many reasons, but one of my favorite things about this season is the weather and having the opportunity to take lots of portraits. I think everyone should have the chance to have their portrait taken, and what better time to do it than before the Holiday season begins? Planning ahead and scheduling your portrait session in the early Fall means that you have great photos to send out with your Season's greetings, or better yet - use your photos to have a custom-designed card created for you.
Here are a few of my favorite images from my session with the Mitchell family and some beautiful card designs I'm offering this season:
Congratulations to Jennifer and Micah on their upcoming wedding! We had a great time shooting their engagement portraits in downtown Little Rock. The happy couple is getting hitched in late January, and I can't wait for their wedding. Jennifer is planning a beautiful winter wedding and I'm so excited to see what she and all of her fabulous vendors are cooking up. For now, here are some of my favorite shots from their engagement session:
I love, love, love the yummy light in this image!
I was also super excited to see some fall colors on the trees this early in the year. Jennifer mentioned that she loves sun flare in photos, so she was thrilled with this shot!
Gotta love a simple and pretty portrait.

Carrie and Levi are married, so now I can show you these amazing bridal portraits I've been itching to post for weeks now! We shot Carrie's bridal portraits at various locations in downtown Little Rock. I love shooting downtown because there is such a great variety of backgrounds and settings to choose from. Some of my favorite images from this shoot were taken at the very end of our shoot when we had a few minutes of 'magic light' and we were waiting for Carrie's sister, Amy, to pull the car around. I love when a bride is happy to shoot whenever, wherever, however - it always makes for a fun shoot!
We happened to cross the street right as a trolley made a stop. The conductor was so nice and invited us on board for some photos. I think the one below of Carrie might be my favorite of the session. She looks so happy and I love how vibrant the trolley colors are.
There is something so glamorous about the photo below. Carrie looked absolutely beautiful!

Jana and Mark were married today at the First Baptist Church in Poteau, Oklahoma. The wedding was absolutely beautiful and I cannot wait to share all of their gorgeous images - I'll post a sneak peek soon! For now, take a gander at some of Jana's bridal portraits that we shot at The Inn at Carnall Hall in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
I LOVED her bouquet. It was really hard for me not to share photos of it before today. Her florist did an amazing job. I'll post more on that later...

Miranda and Ian got married this evening at the Peabody Hotel in Little Rock. Miranda was absolutely stunning! For her bridal portraits, we made a trip out to Petit Jean State Park. She wanted to use her Great Grandmother's antique couch for the shoot, and I was more than happy to oblige - it made for some killer photos! Here are some of my favorite shots from her session:
Ted and Martha are celebrating 50 years of marriage this month! Their anniversary falls on the 29th, which also happens to be the wedding date of Jana and Mark - May 29th must be a good day for love! I asked them what the secret to marriage was and Martha told me that it was making a commitment to each other and sticking to it. I am always touched by the couples that hire me to photograph their wedding and the special bond they have between one another, but I felt honored and truly inspired by Ted and Martha. Happy anniversary! ...
