Jessica has worked with me as one of my lead makeup artists and stylists for going on 9 years. It has been a pleasure and a joy watching her journey into motherhood unfold. She and Sam have the sweetest little round muffin of a son, Atlas. Here are a few of my favorite of their studio portraits from their Holiday portrait session this year:
This post is long overdue! Sejal has become one of my absolute favorite repeat clients. She's also become a friend, and I just LOVE that! She's always up for something glam, fun and a little different. When she asked me about doing something little out of the box for her holiday portraits, I was so excited. Champagne, a gorgeous fur wrap, lots of tulle, adorable kids and a beautiful couple?? What's not to love?!
Here are a few of my favorites from their session:
Another sweet client from last year came back to the studio this season for some super cute holiday portraits with her hubby and furry baby. Love this couple!!
Baby James is 6 months old, and his fabulous Mom timed his session perfectly so that we could capture this cute little guy during the holiday season. Here are a few of my favorite portraits from his session:
Aren't they a sweet family??

Amy Hardin is one of my favorite wedding vendors to work with! She and her Mom have Details, Weddings & Events, a full-service event design and coordination company. They are awesome at what they do and always so much fun to work with! I was super excited when Amy talked to me about shooting her family holiday portraits because she has a little boy who is about the same age as my Emma-Kate AND she wanted to include their horses in the portraits. Awesome light, a spunky toddler and an extra eight legs?? Bring on the photo goodness!!
Here are some of my favorite images from the Hardin's holiday portraits
Amy and Jon met when they were 14 showing horses...
Remember Jennifer and Micah? They were married back in January (see their wedding photos here!), and decided they needed some holiday portraits for their christmas cards. We met at The Old Mill in North Little Rock and had a great time with their little dog, Bonnie Blue, Here are a few of my favorites from their holiday mini-session:
Baby Klein's 6-month portraits are here! He and his sweet parents made a trip to Little Rock from Stuttgart for the occasion. Isn't this little guy the cutest?? And didn't Krista do an amazing job putting together their looks? Precious!
It's a what to wear blog post! One of the questions I get asked often is "what should we wear?" Your clothing choices are an important part of creating beautiful photographs. For a family session, it's important that your outfits compliment eachother, but not match exactly. Choose a few colors that you like and mix it up, match it up and layer. Accessories and shoes can help bring your look together, so add scarves, jewelry and hats to create a cohesive look.
Since we're approaching the family and holiday portrait season, I thought it would be a great idea to share a few ideas on what to wear to help you put together a great family look for your session. All of the clothes, shoes and accessories can be found at Gap, Old Navy and Piperlime.
