The Gary Family's Little Rock family portraits were so much fun. Kim came in with her little girl ahead of the guys so she could enjoy a little bit of pampering and hair and makeup. After the girls were done, the guys showed up and we had a blast shooting their family portraits. This family clearly adores one another and have a blast together - lots of real laughs and super sweet hugs. Here are a few of my favorites from their shoot:
Susanne and Hannah's portrait session was so much fun. Mother-daughter sessions are so special and I love shooting them. There is nothing more precious than the bond between a mother and her daughter; I love being able to capture that relationship, especially with younger daughters since I get to watch them grow up! Here are a few of my favorite portraits from their session:

Christmas is hands-down my favorite time of year. I'm one of those super mimsy, sings-Christmas-songs-all-year-long, decorating and baking kind of people. I just love how the Christmas season brings me back to magical childhood memories, and I adore seeing Emma-Kate explore and enjoy all of the merriment.
Here is a glimpse into the Melody-Hubbell home this Christmas:
We made a trip to Garvan Gardens to see the lights. If you're in Arkansas, and especially if you're close to Hot Springs, this is a MUST see. It's absolutely magical. Like being on a movie set or in a child's fairytale. Simply stunning.
And to round this holiday post off, I thought I'd share a few of my favorite instagram pics from the past several weeks.
Have a very Merry Christmas y'all and a very Happy New Year!!...
Amy Hardin is one of my favorite wedding vendors to work with! She and her Mom have Details, Weddings & Events, a full-service event design and coordination company. They are awesome at what they do and always so much fun to work with! I was super excited when Amy talked to me about shooting her family holiday portraits because she has a little boy who is about the same age as my Emma-Kate AND she wanted to include their horses in the portraits. Awesome light, a spunky toddler and an extra eight legs?? Bring on the photo goodness!!

Amy and Jon met when they were 14 showing horses...
Last Christmas, I had the pleasure of shooting Sam and his Mom Christy. This Easter I was very happy to shoot the pair again, but this time their family joined in! Four kids and four adults certainly made for an fun mini-session, and I think we captured some wonderful memories for this family. Thanks so much to all of the Cryers for inviting me into your home and letting me be part of the family for a short while.

Meet Sam and his Mom, Christine. Sam has a super cute, super spunky personality and was a lot of fun to photograph. We got together at the Historic Arkansas Museum in downtown Little Rock and had a great time playing, exploring and watching Trolleys roll by. Here are some of my favorite shots from our session:
Today's post has a dual purpose. First, I want to share with all of you the portrait session of one of my favorite friends and her lovely parents. Second, I want to share a few of the holiday card designs I have for 2010!
I love Fall for many reasons, but one of my favorite things about this season is the weather and having the opportunity to take lots of portraits. I think everyone should have the chance to have their portrait taken, and what better time to do it than before the Holiday season begins? Planning ahead and scheduling your portrait session in the early Fall means that you have great photos to send out with your Season's greetings, or better yet - use your photos to have a custom-designed card created for you.
Here are a few of my favorite images from my session with the Mitchell family and some beautiful card designs I'm offering this season:
