BOUDOIR FAQs

My take on boudoir photography is classic, sophisticated glamour. If you’re looking for romantic photos of yourself that are beautiful, timeless and that will leave you feeling like a million dollars, then you’ve found the right studio. These sessions are meant to capture the real, beautiful you. I love boudoir sessions because I love working with real women and creating an experience and images that leave every woman with a renewed sense of self confidence.

Sessions begin at $350 for boudoir photography. Prints, albums, DVDs and other fine art products are also available a la carte. Most clients invest between $1300-$3000 in their boudoir experience.

Scheduling your session 4-6 weeks in advance of when you need to have your book in-hand is recommended. If you’ve decided to book a session, but need your album faster your shoot can be scheduled last minute with a rush-fee.

All sessions are scheduled Monday through Friday; weekend bookings are not available at this time.

A totally natural, makeup-free face or regular everyday makeup is hard to see when photographed by a professional camera in natural light. Your stylist will use highly pigmented products so you look absolutely beautiful – you can go as natural or as glam as you like!

I would love for you to have your images in a digital version! I do offer a digital option, but the best value is to purchase one of my albums that include complimentary digital files. For more detailed product and pricing information, please use the contact form to email me!

I do not offer mini-sessions at this time. Mini-sessions do not allow me to provide the same photoshoot experience as full sessions. Mini-sessions don’t leave enough time for professional styling or advanced retouching in photoshop. I do offer mini-sessions for individuals who are looking for a few images to update their social media profile photos, but these sessions aren’t suited for boudoir, senior portraits or glamour sessions. If you’re interested in updating your headshot or just need a new portrait to make Mom happy, please feel free to contact me for more information.

The best thing about boudoir sessions is that it’s all about you and letting your inner (and outer!) beauty shine through. There isn’t a lot you should do to prepare. Don’t go on some crazy diet, spray yourself orange with fake tanner or get a radical new hair color. It’s my job to understand the female body and to find the most flattering poses for your body type and personality, so you can relax, enjoy and feel sexy in your own skin. It’s helpful for some women to do a little research and bring photos of hair and makeup they would like to try. I encourage you to think about how you want to look and help me understand how you want your images to turn out (sweet? bold? smoldering? pin-up?). These sessions allow you to showcase your beauty – not to change how you really look. Come as you are and be prepared to have fun flaunting your stuff!

Wear what you feel most comfortable and beautiful in. When you wear something you feel great in, you’re more likely to look and feel good about yourself. I recommend between 4-6 outfits for standard 90-minute shoots and that you bring more looks than you think you will need just in case you decide to change outfits at the last minute. If you’re looking for lingerie ideas, I recommend Lavender, a luxury boutique in Little Rock, Victoria’s Secret or Aerie, but there are tons of other websites and stores out there so there’s a lot to choose from. Also, don’t feel limited wearing to lingerie. A man’s dress shirt, camisoles, sports jerseys and fitted tee’s with boy-shorts are comfortable, more modest and still super cute. I recommend at least one good, supportive, push-up bra, lacey undies, and a one great pair of strappy stilettos or platform pumps! For most of your shoot, you will be barefoot so plan for only 1-2 pairs of shoes. Hosiery (especially thigh-highs!), garter belts and jewelry also add an extra element of glam. Anything that is sentimental or holds a special meaning to you or your significant other is great to add to your session when considering giving your images as a gift. Don’t forget that you can include an implied nude or a ‘sheets’ shot as outfit options. Sometimes the simplest of images and outfits turn out to be your favorites!

I ask that you arrive exactly at your appointment time. We’ll go over the outfits you bring with you and any props/special items you want included, any specific poses you have in mind, and we’ll talk through any questions or concerns you may have. You’ll change clothes and then we’ll begin hair and makeup. When you’re all dolled up, we’ll start the session. I’ll be sure to assist you in matching the right accessories to your clothing before we begin shooting. During the session, I’ll explain how I’m photographing you and gently guide you into natural looking and flattering poses. I’ll give you lots of encouragement and compliments along the way. You’ll leave feeling like a rockstar!

Retouching is included with every session, as it’s such an important part of making these images more than just another portrait. All of your finished photographs (selected by me) are retouched to smooth skin on the face and body where needed. I will photoshop out anything that is unflattering, like the areas around bra and garter straps that may get squeezed by the elastic in those garments. I also enhance eyes and make hair bigger – those small adjustments really make your images shine. Gray hair or root touchups, braces removal, tan line removal or other special retouch requests can be accommodated for an additional retouching fee. (Please note: Retouching does not include major body sculpting or making you two sizes smaller than you really are, but I will do light retouching to make sure your curves look gorgeous.)

I will never use your images without your permission. I like to create a blog post from all of my portrait sessions, including boudoir, but your privacy is important to me and discretion is key with boudoir images. I will always ask before posting images from your session and I require a signed model release for your images to be posted online. If you have questions about my privacy policy or special circumstances, please don’t hesitate to ask!

Awesome! Contact me (use the contact form!) and let me know you’d like to book a session. I’ll email you more details about my shoots and we’ll set up a time to discuss your ideas and go over any questions you might have. After that, we’ll pick a date and I’ll prepare a contract to read and sign, and once you sign and make your deposit to secure your session, you’re booked!

Boudoir parties are great for groups of 2-4 ladies! These parties are perfect for bachelorette parties, milestone birthday parties or just a ladies day out! Each girl receives her own session while the rest of the group enjoys wine, snacks and awesome girl time at my studio in Little Rock. Boudoir party session fees begin at $499 and can be split up among the girls that attend – all products are purchased separately and payment plans are available. Parties last approximately 3-5 hours depending on the number of ladies, so plan a day around it! Be sure to hit the town afterwards because you will all look gorgeous!
