Brandee and Shawn Featured on The Wedding Post

I love it when my clients images are featured on wedding blogs. It makes them happy, which makes me happy! Today, Brandee and Shawn's engagement session was featured on the fabulous The Wedding Post, which is Arkansas' newest and most popular wedding blog. A blog post wouldn't be much fun without a photo, so I've included a screen-shot of their feature on TWP and a link so you can check out their images and browse around the site for wedding inspiration! Yay for love! http://www.theweddingpost.net/2011/08/real-arkansas-engagement-brandee-shawn.html...

Brandee and Shawn’s Engagement Session

It was hot, hot, hot for Brandee and Shawn's engagement session, but they were troopers! We headed over to the Maumelle/NLR side of the Big Dam Bridge for their session. Even though it was literally 100+ degrees outside, this couple was excited to have their portraits taken. My favorite thing about these two? Their ability to make each other laugh, a real, honest to goodness laugh. So many of their photos are of Brandee with a big, beautiful smile on her face and I just love that. Congratulations you two and I can't wait to photograph your wedding on 9-10-11! For now, here are some of my favorite images from Brandee and Shawn's Maumelle engagement session: ...

Adam and Justine’s Fayetteville Engagement Portraits

Adam and Justine are simply an awesome couple to be around. They're smart, easy going, animal-lovers and they make each other laugh, which I love. They're getting married next year in Disneyland, and if you know Justine at all, you know that their fairytale wedding is truly a dream come true!  Justine and Adam were a pleasure to work with and I'm so pleased to share some of my favorite images with you on this beautiful and less-than-freaky Friday the 13th:  ...

Amanda and Raymond’s Little Rock Engagement Session

While Amanda and Raymond have known each other for over ten years, their courtship didn't begin until about two years ago when they randomly bumped into each other while out one night with friends. Raymond is a Police Officer and Amanda a nurse at Arkansas Children's Hospital. The pair are clearly devoted to helping other people and to each other. I love when I see a couple 'fit' so easily together. Raymond can make Amanda laugh that kind of laugh that only a best friend can, and his eyes light up at the sight of her smile. Here are a few of my favorite images from our session together in downtown Little Rock: ...

Kaylee and Colt’s Fayetteville Engagement Session – Ft. Smith Wedding Photography

I'm so excited to shoot Kaylee and Colt's Fort Smith wedding in October. Fall weddings are my favorite and I immediately fell in love with this couple, so I'm sure I'm going to have a great time shooting their big day! Kaylee and Colt grew up in Charleston, Arkansas and have known each other since childhood. Their love story began in high-school and after years of courtship, the two decided to buy a house together. In celebration of their new home, Colt had a few surprises up his sleeve. He had arranged for Kaylee to enjoy a day full of pampering, relaxation and gifts. After an unusually wonderful day, Colt popped the question and the rest is history in the making!   We headed to the Fayetteville Square and Stables On The Hill for their engagement session. I absolutely love the images we captured and have a few to share with you here. Don't forget to check out their slideshow at the bottom of this post for more of my favorite images! Lauren + Craig – Little Rock Engagement Photography

If you've ever met Lauren and Craig, you know that I'm speaking genuinely when I say that they are one of the most adorable couples I've ever had the pleasure of photographing. There is something about them that makes you feel all warm and mimsy inside. The couple grew up in the same small town of Sheridan and Craig's mother was Lauren's fourth grade teacher, but they never met because he is a few years older than she. A good friend and fate brought them together a few years ago to a dinner date at Cafe Prego in the Heights. Great conversation, great food and great wine were the beginnings of happily ever after. Photographing couples like Lauren and Craig make me feel so incredibly blessed. It is a rare thing to work in an environment that is filled to the brim with love, and I always come home after a shoot like this beaming - I truly love my job and am thankful to work with such happy people. We began Lauren and Craig's engagement session on the steps of the Robinson Center in downtown Little Rock. We walked around downtown for a bit and then headed to a quiet spot...

Kathryn + Jon’s Fayetteville Engagement Session – Fayetteville, AR Wedding Photography

Kathryn and Jon are an incredibly sweet and down to earth couple. We met last August at the bridal fair in Little Rock and immediately hit it off. Kathryn is also a photographer (check out her website!) and Jon is an Assistant Professor in the Communications department at the University of Arkansas. The two have been in Fayetteville only since July of last year and have decided to exchange vows in the Natural State rather than making a trip back home to Indiana. Although I won't be photographing their wedding, a friend of their's from Indiana has the honor of doing that, Kathryn and Jon wanted me to photograph their engagement session and we had a blast doing it. Kathryn's bubbly personality and infectious smile coupled with our combined passions for photography made our afternoon together so much fun! Since the couple will exchange vows on Old Main lawn and celebrate at Scarpino's we began their session downtown. We then headed over to Gulley Park for some relaxed portraits with their dog, Sophia. Here are some of my favorites from our time together: ...

Jessica + Drew’s Engagement Session – Little Rock Wedding Photographer, Meredith Melody

Jessica and Drew met while working at Baptist Health. They're both in the physical therapy and rehabilitative fields and are clearly great examples of how to keep a body fit and healthy! The couple's wedding will be in September at the beautiful Clinton Library in Little Rock, so I thought it would be fitting to begin our shoot there. We lucked out with beautiful blue skies and warm temps, but were challenged by some serious gusts of wind. Jessica's dress and hair were troopers and hung in there long enough to get some beautiful shots. Here are a few of my favorite images from our session together: ...

Melissa + Lance – Little Rock Engagement Photography

Melissa and Lance have been together since meeting each other through a mutual friend via Facebook. Lance lives in Georgia working for the Army at Fort Benning and Melissa is finishing her degree at UCA in Conway. I was honored that they took time out of one of their rare weekends together to be with me for a short time so we could shoot their engagement portraits in downtown Little Rock. The couple will get married in Hot Springs at the beautiful Hamilton House - a perfect place for a summer wedding! I adore Melissa's outfit choices for their session. There's nothing like some fun, sassy clothing and accessories to make an engagement session really pop! Here are a few of my favorite images from our time together: To see more of Melissa and Lance's Little Rock Engagement session, feel free to check out their slideshow here. ...
