Sometimes love is about compromise and going with the flow…

Audra and I met at the bridal fair in January. She was sweet, down to earth and kind. I was so excited to shoot her and Matt’s portraits and to bring a little bit of fun and romance into their world, even if just for an evening. Audra and Matt have been together for three years and for the past many months life has been complicated. An ailing grandfather coupled with  job transitions, moving out-of-state and medical school beginning in the Fall mean that this couple has had to postpone formalizing their engagement and wedding plans. It was my pleasure to capture the love that exists between these two. After our session, I received the email below from Audra and thought I had to share it with all of you so that you could understand the special kind of wonderful people that are Matt and Audra.

Meredith,
Thanks so much for yesterday! We both had a great time and can’t wait to see the pictures! Also, thanks for being so understanding.  I really appreciate it.  We are in an awkward situation right now with my grandpa, preparing to go to Mississippi, and trying to make the engagement official.  I mean, when it comes down to it, in the grand scheme of things, a little tiny ring makes no difference at all.  So…I suppose we will call the pictures “engagement pictures” after all, because being engaged is so much more than a ring.
Thanks again! : )
Audra

Here are a few of my favorite images from our time together. I just love the first two shots of Audra. Absolutely beautiful!
