If you’ve ever met Lauren and Craig, you know that I’m speaking genuinely when I say that they are one of the most adorable couples I’ve ever had the pleasure of photographing. There is something about them that makes you feel all warm and mimsy inside. The couple grew up in the same small town of Sheridan and Craig’s mother was Lauren’s fourth grade teacher, but they never met because he is a few years older than she. A good friend and fate brought them together a few years ago to a dinner date at Cafe Prego in the Heights. Great conversation, great food and great wine were the beginnings of happily ever after.

Photographing couples like Lauren and Craig make me feel so incredibly blessed. It is a rare thing to work in an environment that is filled to the brim with love, and I always come home after a shoot like this beaming – I truly love my job and am thankful to work with such happy people. We began Lauren and Craig’s engagement session on the steps of the Robinson Center in downtown Little Rock. We walked around downtown for a bit and then headed to a quiet spot near the RiverWalk in the Riverdale area. Their sweet dogs, Charlie and Emma, tagged along for their session, and we were able to get a few fun, relaxed shots and some nice, classic portraits in the beautiful Spring Weather and setting sun. We wanted to add a personal element to their shoot, so Craig and Lauren ended their session with a quiet picnic and a favorite bottle of red wine. I absolutely adore the images from my time with this couple and I cannot wait to photograph their Little Rock wedding in June! Here are some of my favorites from their session:
