This set of images was commissioned by a very talented, kind and funny interior designer, Mara Malcom of Lamb's Interior Design, for her featured space in the Arkansas Symphony's Designer House. She wanted something different to include as part of the art for her design. She wanted something that would make people stop and think a minute, a modern portrait of her daughters. Mara has worked with me before for personal projects, so she knew that my team and I could bring her vision to life. This project was so much fun and I adored working with Mara's beautiful girls - each one so different and yet all full of grace, spunk and personality!

Searching for Little Rock Mother's Day gift ideas? Something special? Something she'll always cherish and think fondly of? Give her the gift of showing her how beautiful and amazing she is to you.
A portrait session with me is the perfect way to thank your mom, wife or someone special who is like a mother to you. Treat her to a day at my studio - she'll enjoy a gorgeous makeover, get pampered and primped and will feel like a supermodel as she's being photographed. Join her for this photoshoot and I'll create some amazing images of the two of you together. Contact me for session availability and pricing at www.meredithmelody.com.
I have been at my new photography studio for a few months, now, and I am loving everything about it. Being located in Hillcrest in Little Rock is amazing. I love it because the neighborhood is full of super nice people, is dog-friendly and has lots of eateries and boutiques. Parking is easy to find and there is a Kroger out my back door. I feel right at home!
I wanted the studio to feel light, airy and modern, so I chose mostly white and black for the decor, as well as a few pops of red since that's my favorite color. The large room is where I do day-to-day editing, client communication and marketing. It's also my consult area where I meet with clients and hold image viewing appointments. The second area is my natural light studio, which is dedicated to shooting, hair and makeup. The light in the shooting room is dreamy even on the cloudiest of days, and because it's almost always bathed in light, it also happens to be Frank's favorite place to nap.
Take a look around, and I hope to see you here soon!
I'm a romantic at heart, so I love this holiday. What's not to like about showing your loved ones that you care? Yes, Valentine's Day can be a mushy romantic holiday for couples, but it can also be a day where we remind those around us how much we love them and how much they mean to us. I think it's too easy in life for things to get ho-hum. For daily chores and the mundane to get in the way of our ability to really connect, to actively love and be loved. Today is a day to shout from the rooftops that you love your husband, your dog, your kids, your best friend, your whomever.
Love is contagious and feeling loved makes people happy. So, do something loving on this Valentine's Day. Give someone a hug. Share a box of chocolates. Drop a Valentine in their mailbox. Let them know you care. Maybe they'll do the same for someone else, and wouldn't that be nice?
Happy Valentine's Day!!

It's still January and I'm proudly keeping up with my New Years Resolution to take at least one photo daily with my phone and share it with all of you on Facebook and Instagram. It's been fun! Some days I catch myself with nothing at all to shoot, which is actually nice. It makes me stop and think. Hmm? What around me would make a fun Instagram? I like that. It's a small challenge that helps me see things in new ways.
My daily photos are not always amazing or all that interesting, really, but they are a great way to look back and see what was going on in my life and in business. I love that!
Here are a few of my recent daily Instagrams...
Remember Jennifer and Micah? They were married back in January (see their wedding photos here!), and decided they needed some holiday portraits for their christmas cards. We met at The Old Mill in North Little Rock and had a great time with their little dog, Bonnie Blue, Here are a few of my favorites from their holiday mini-session:
