Now that you've seen Nancy and Jackson's wedding details and portraits, lets get down to business and see what happened on their wedding day! Nancy, her bridesmaids and her Mother all got ready at Nancy's parents house, which was only a few steps from the church, which is absolutely perfect for weddings because it has gorgeous grounds and awesome interior lighting . The girls and guys all gathered at the church before the ceremony for the final touches to their bridal outfits and to say a few prayers. After they said their 'I do's' the congregation and wedding party celebrated at the Crowne Plaza in West Little Rock. Here are some of my favorite images from the day:
All of the ladies had beautiful make-up and awesome hair!
I love 'getting ready' shots in black and white. I think they more fully capture the moment and allow you to really feel the emotion in the room.
I thought I'd do something a little different with the cake shot in this post. It was so delicious that I had so share the 'after!'
I leave you with two of my favorite shots of the day...
Nancy and Jackson tied the knot yesterday, so I now have the awesome pleasure of sharing her bridal portraits. Nancy was so easy to work with and was up for anything I suggested. We started our shoot in front of The Old State House Museum, a favorite spot of mine for a more traditional setting, and then wandered around downtown. I found a bridge and a very cool slanted wall that made for some killer shots. There were tons and tons of beautiful images, so I had a hard time narrowing down my favorites for this post. Leave a comment and let me know which one is your favorite!
Last weekend I traveled to Fayetteville for Nancy and Jackson's engagement portraits. After changing our shoot time several times due to stormy weather, we finally decided just to get out there and take advantage of the sun even though the sky was gray. We hit several beautiful locations. Nancy found a beautiful piece of land in Springdale near their town-home, and and I ran across some wildflowers in Fayetteville. We also made a stop on Dickson street for a few urban shots. There so many wonderful images that I'm posting their session in two parts - check back for part two!
I love how cozy and warm this shot feels.
The shot below might be my favorite from the day. I'm not sure exactly what it is about this image that strikes me, but I just love how happy Nancy looks and how engaged they are with each other. This is the stuff that makes my job so much fun!
