Arkansas Democrat Gazette Bridal Show

I love bridal fairs. I love the build-up, I love the hustle-and-buslte of the day, I love seeing all of the vendors, I love meeting new brides, I even love all of the hard work that it takes to set up my booth! This Fall's bridal fair was especially fun because my husband and father-in-law helped me turn my vision for my booth into reality. After the past two shows I've done I wanted to take it up a notch and create something really fun, really bold and really beautiful. I think we did just that! What do you think??   The day went really well and our booth was buzzing all afternoon. The couch I rented from Trendstyle Events was the perfect addition to the space. It allowed for brides to sit, rest their feet, look through albums and talk with me about their wedding plans. The photographers from the Arkasnsas Democrat Gazette were busy taking photos all day long, and I love this arial shot they captured of my booth! Notice the bride and her mom enjoying the comfy couch?? Love! Since I love bridal fairs so much, I'm giving away a $500 gift certificate to one lucky bride! I also...

Wedding Wire Reviewed

One of the things I love most about planning a wedding today is that there is so much information available online. Brides can browse through thousands of photos for inspiration for their wedding design, look through photos from friends' weddings on social networking sites and even connect with other engaged couples who are also in the planning process through forums and blogs. All of this information can be overwhelming, though, which can sometimes make the process of choosing and selecting wedding vendors challenging. I think that one of the best ways to ensure that you'll be happy with a wedding vendor's work for your wedding is to listen to what their past clients have to say...

Lauren & Craig’s Wedding – The Little Rock Club – Arkansas Wedding Photography

Lauren and Craig were married June 18th at the Calvary Baptist Church in the Heights. The ceremony was simple, beautiful and heart warming as Lauren's Grandfather pronounced the couple husband and wife. The couple celebrated their vows with a stunning reception at the Little Rock Club. Here are a few of my favorite details, moments and portraits from the day: It was 100 degrees outside, so we opted to take the girls group portraits indoors. I loved the furniture in the church lobby! The 'First Look' was my favorite moment of the day.  Lauren's eyes welled up as soon as I told her it was time to see Craig. The love between these two is precious and I adore how excited they were to see each other. Big smiles, tender hugs and quiet prayers made for the perfect First Look. Lauren wore a cathedral length veil during the ceremony that was made from her Mom's wedding dress. Her bouquet wrap also contained a sentimental something 'old' - a Swarovski  brooch of her Grandmother's made the perfect addition to her white orchids and hydrangea. After the ceremony, guests and the bridal party headed downtown to the Little Rock Club for an elegant and very fun...

Monica & Ryan’s Little Rock Wedding

Monica and Ryan were married on May 21st at the Cathedral of Saint Andrew in Little Rock. The ceremony was held in the main sanctuary and the wedding reception followed in McDonald Hall. Monica and Ryan both work in forensics for the State crime lab, so it seemed fitting that their wedding colors were shades of blue. Surrounded by family and friends, many of whom drove all the way from West Virginia and Florida, Monica and Ryan exchanged vows and then danced the night away to tune's from the fab Joe Snell of Central Arkansas Entertainment. The Little Black Dress Brigade did an amazing job with the florals and Along for the Bride did a great job a coordinating the day and putting together a seamless event! Here are a few of my favorite images from the day!  ...

Featured Wedding – The Wedding Post

Recently one of my client's weddings was featured on Arkansas' newest and very inspiring wedding blog, The Wedding Post. I always love having my work featured, but I especially loved having this wedding blogged on TWP. I've been dying for an Arkansas wedding blog to pop up and showcase weddings in Arkansas. With so many talented wedding vendors and even more amazing, beautiful couples in the Natural State, it's been a long time coming for a blog like this to come around. I think TWP has done an amazing job of highlighting real, authentic couples and amazing wedding design, and I'm honored to be a part of their growing site! Jamie & Michael’s Little Rock Wedding

Jamie and Michael were married May 14th at Little Rock's First Baptist Church and celebrated at Park on the River in Maumelle. Jamie's favorite color is yellow, so the wedding colors were of course shades of bright, cheerful yellow and lime green. The day was full of laughter, happy tears, warm embraces and lots of love. My two favorite details of the day were Jamie's bouquet wrap and veil. Both were made from her mother's wedding dress; I adore when brides incorporate family history into their weddings! It was such a pleasure working with this couple and I love the images that I captured along with my assistant, Miranda. Here are a few of my favorites from their Little Rock wedding day: Vendors: Event Design & Florals - Little Black Dress Brigade Reception Venue - Park on The River  ...

Jamie’s Bryant Firehouse Bridals – Bryant Wedding Photography

Say hello to this beautiful bride, Jamie. She and her fiance, Michael, were married last Saturday in Little Rock. If you remember Jamie from her engagement session, you'll know that firetrucks are a trend in her and Michael's relationship and wedding photography. Michael is a firefighter in Bryant and he proposed to her while 100-feet in the air in the truck's ladder bucket during a "training exercise." Jamie decided it was her turn to surprise Michael with something firetruck related, so we shot her bridals at his firestation. The entire station was in on Jamie's surprise and helped her pull it off by getting Michael out of the station for the afternoon. I had a blast with Jamie on this shoot and was so excited to have such an unusual location for a bridal setting. Here are some of my favorite images from her session: ...

Lauren & Chris’s Outdoor Arkansas Wedding – Arkansas Wedding Photography

Lauren and Chris exchanged vows on the lawn of a private home just outside of Little Rock. The setting was relaxed, the weather beautiful and the decor simple. It was a beautiful day. Lauren and Chris were one of the most down to earth and relaxed couples I've photographed in a while. They were excited to get married, but not nervous or anxious at all about the actual wedding. They entrusted their closest friends and family to create a the orange and grey DIY wedding of their dreams. Everything from the flowers, catering and cakes to the bride's makeup and even the wedding ceremony were put together with love by friends and family. Here are some of my favorite images from the day. Enjoy! ...
