GLAMOUR FAQs

1-2 person portrait sessions begin at $300. Individual prints, boxed collections of prints and wall portraits are purchased separately. Most clients invest $1200-3500 in their photoshoot and heirloom quality printed products. All images purchased in print are also delivered digitally.

Your session from start to finish, including hair and makeup, will take approximately 2-3 hours depending on how many people are included in your shoot. For an individual session, hair and makeup takes approximately 1 hour and your shoot will run 60-90 minutes. For multi-person sessions, the hair and makeup can take closer to two hours. My goal is always to make you feel comfortable and relaxed. I will guide you into poses and positions that are flattering and relaxed. Be prepared to have fun. Giggle. Chat. Whatever makes you feel good – go with it. Your images will always look more natural and reflect you and your inner beauty when your smiles are real, so don’t worry about being “in front of the camera” just go with it and let your inner supermodel shine through!

I would love to photograph your family! Your time in the studio with your family and the images we create together will be cherished for years to come.

A family glam session with me is much more glamorous and posed than the traditional family portrait in the park. No two children are alike and I’m always up for taking our time and doing whatever is necessary to get a gorgeous portrait and a real, natural smile out of your kids. Please prepare your child for the experience. As I mentioned, this isn’t a regular outdoors, run-around and play kind of shoot like you might have done before. I do want everyone to have fun and for your session to be as stress-free as possible, but in order to get the kinds of images I’m after, your family will need to be able to sit still for short amounts of time and follow some basic posing instructions. I always keep it light and do my best to make it fun, but please give them a little heads up about what they’ll need to do during the shoot. Feel free to bring a friend or a relative who can entertain your child while we photograph your individual portraits. They can always taken them outside for some fresh air or watch a movie in my office while we work.

There aren’t any hard-and-fast rules for what to wear, but I recommend to keep it simple, keep it classic and keep the intent of the image in mind when selecting portrait outfits. The images are about you, not what you’re wearing; however, whenever possible your clothing should provide some context for the image.

Are these images in celebration of major career achievement? Wear an awesome, tailored suit. Celebrating your 40th birthday? Bring a cocktail dress! Simply want to celebrate you? Wear something simple and classic. Celebrating your anniversary, but don’t want a full-blown boudoir shoot? Bring something soft and flowy that suggests romance.

If you plan to bring your family for part of your session, pick coordinating but not totally matching outfits. Solids and muted colors are always best for groups, so avoid anything patterned or very bright.

Also think about where you’ll display your images. Do you want a traditional framed portrait to hang above your formal-living room mantel? If you know you want a selection of photos to hang in your casual family room, I recommend opting for fun, relaxed clothing in colors and tones that will complement the décor of the room and not your Sunday’s best.

Images will be available for proofing approximately two weeks after your session, and your products will arrive 1-3 weeks after your order has been placed.

Contact me (use the contact form at the bottom of my website) and I’ll be in touch so that we can chat about why you’re interested in portraits at this time in your life, what you’re looking for and any other questions you might have. I usually recommend a complimentary consultation, either in-person or on the phone, so that we have the chance to get to know each other and go over any questions you might have. What Happens After the Consultation? I’ll put together a contract for you to review. If everything looks good to you, you’ll sign and send in a deposit to confirm your booking. After that, I’m officially yours and you can begin planning for your photoshoot!
