Chanda’s Headshots – Little Rock Professional Portraits

Chanda Camden is an amazing therapist and a specialist of EMDR. Our husbands have known each other for many, many years, so I've come to learn that Chanda is much more than your average therapist and is truly an amazing person. She's a fantastic wife and mother, a hard-worker, a singer and a healer. She also has awesome fashion sense! Recently Chanda started her own therapy practice and asked me to take some headshots for her website. Here are a few of my favorite images from our session together: ...

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween! This past weekend we had a blast celebrating the spookiest of holidays with Emma-Kate and family. Our sweet girl dressed up as a pink poodle and Andrew and I dressed as a 50's sock-hop couple - poodle skirt and all! Em was on the move, so excited to see all of the costumes and was eager to keep up with the other kids, but I did manage to snap a few photos of her before the night was over. Here are a few of my favorite images from Emma-Kate's first 'big-kid' Halloween: ...

Pamela & Jim’s Holiday Mini Session – Little Rock Lifestyle Photography

Pamela and I have known eachother since college. We were sorority sisters and shared many Political Science classes together during our four years together in Fayetteville. She and her husband, Jim, live in Little Rock now and have the cutest and spunkiest little daschund, Charlie. I love photographing friends and what makes taking their portraits even better is when they love their photos. Pamela emailed me last night saying "we love these photos. LOVE." Those words always bring a smile to my face and make me so happy that my clients enjoy my work as much as I do! Here are a few of my favorite images from Pamela and Jim's Holiday mini session: ...

Three Years of Wonderful

Andrew is my rock, my inspiration, the most fantastic father and my best friend. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect husband and I am so thankful that we found each other six years ago in Morocco. Today is our third wedding anniversary, and I am filled with more love and appreciation for Andrew than I ever have been. Words cannot express how I feel about this man, but I can say that he has brought more romance, laughter, family and love into my life than I ever thought a person could have, and for these reasons I feel like the luckiest woman alive. Our wedding day was magical. The wedding was beautiful and we were surrounded by friends and family who traveled from all over the country to be with us and to celebrate the beginning of our life together. Since I'm a photographer and I absolutely adore weddings, today wouldn't be an anniversary without taking a trip down memory lane and looking through our wedding photos. Here are a few of my favorites from that special day: Andrew's sister, my Matron of Honor, was 8-months+ pregnant with our sweet niece Samantha. This was a spontaneous photo that we decided...

Mitchell Family Portraits – Arkansas Portrait Photography

Today's post has a dual purpose. First, I want to share with all of you the portrait session of one of my favorite friends and her lovely parents. Second, I want to share a few of the holiday card designs I have for 2010! I love Fall for many reasons, but one of my favorite things about this season is the weather and having the opportunity to take lots of portraits. I think everyone should have the chance to have their portrait taken, and what better time to do it than before the Holiday season begins? Planning ahead and scheduling your portrait session in the early Fall means that you have great photos to send out with your Season's greetings, or better yet - use your photos to have a custom-designed card created for you. Here are a few of my favorite images from my session with the Mitchell family and some beautiful card designs I'm offering this season: ...

Patricia & John’s 10-10-10 Little Rock Wedding

Patricia and John were married on October 10th at the Manor House in downtown Little Rock. The house is a gem and is only a short distance away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Little Rock. It was the perfect location for this happy couple to exchange vows. Patricia wanted to keep the guest list small and the evening intimate. She designed the wedding decor and florals around a vintage theme, so the quaint garden and historic charm of the Manor House were just right for bringing her vision to reality. A note to brides: I love, love, love outdoor wedding ceremonies. Sure, there's always a chance of rain (that's what rain plans are for!), but the quality of photographs from an outdoor ceremony vs. an indoor ceremony cannot be compared. The lighting and color are almost always perfect during outdoor ceremonies and it shows in the final images. Also, having an outdoor ceremony allows me to move around more freely and a little more discretely than indoor ceremonies, which means you get even MORE awesome images from your ceremony! So, if you're contemplating an outdoor wedding, I say DO IT and you won't be disappointed! :) Back to Patricia and...

Jamie & Tony’s Fayetteville Engagement Portraits

Last weekend I had the pleasure of shooting Jamie & Tony's engagement portraits. I met Jamie at the fall bridal fair in Little Rock and she was one of the lucky contest winners who received a free portrait session. Jamie was super excited about her prize because she and Tony are getting married in sunny Florida and didn't have anything planned for engagement portraits. I was excited to see Jamie again and to meet Tony. They're an adorable couple and we had a lot of fun roaming around downtown Fayetteville. Here are a few of my favorite shots from our session in Fayetteville: ...

Jennifer & Micah – Little Rock Engagement Portraits

Congratulations to Jennifer and Micah on their upcoming wedding! We had a great time shooting their engagement portraits in downtown Little Rock. The happy couple is getting hitched in late January, and I can't wait for their wedding. Jennifer is planning a beautiful winter wedding and I'm so excited to see what she and all of her fabulous vendors are cooking up. For now, here are some of my favorite shots from their engagement session: I love, love, love the yummy light in this image! I was also super excited to see some fall colors on the trees this early in the year. Jennifer mentioned that she loves sun flare in photos, so she was thrilled with this shot! Gotta love a simple and pretty portrait. ...
