Jennifer’s Fayetteville Bridal Portraits – Arkansas Wedding Photography

I love wedding days! I love them because I get to have loads of fun shooting all day AND because it means I get to share some beautiful bridal portraits with all of you. Jennifer and Micah were married yesterday in Little Rock, so I have the pleasure of sharing her Fayetteville bridal portraits with you today. Jennifer was such a trooper for her shoot. It was Thanksgiving week so things were already a little rushed and stressful, but to add to that it was raining, windy and VERY cold. We shot her portraits at her parents' home in Fayetteville, so we were lucky to have the warmth of the indoors and the beauty of some beautiful land and sun (when it decided to pop out of the rain clouds). Jennifer seemed to have a great time despite the chilly, wet weather and I think it shows in her images. Here are some of my favorites from our session together: The image below is what Jennifer selected for her bridal portrait. It looks absolutely stunning on metallic paper! The following series of three images is my favorite from our session. I LOVE how happy and carefree Jennifer is, especially considering how cold...

Distinctive Designs by Tanarah at the Little Rock Bridal Fair – Little Rock Wedding Photography

A few weeks ago, I received a call from Steven with Distinctive Designs by Tanarah. He called to thank me for the photos I took of their booth at the August fair last year (you can see those bridal fair photos here), and said that they were so thrilled with my images that they'd love for me to cover their booth at the January fair. Knowing that Tanarah and her team are simply AMAZING and come up with the most beautiful, creative and unique floral arrangements and event design, I of course said yes! Below are a few of my favorite images of the totally ethereal and meticulously designed booth (voted best design at the fair, I might add!) are below: And here is Tanarah and part of her incredibly awesome and talented team. Not only do they dream up and create beautiful floral design, but they are all super nice people who are so friendly and make you feel like part of the family! Thanks so much for having me capture all of the beautiful arrangements and details you designed!! ...

Snow Day – Little Rock Lifestyle Photography

It's the tenth day of the new year and it has been an unbelievably beautiful day. Yesterday evening around 3 o'clock it began to flurry, and it snowed until the wee hours of the morning. Andrew and I put Emma-Kate to bed and snuck out of the house for a few minutes to soak up how beautiful our neighborhood looked blanketed in snow. Nothing makes me happier than a good snowfall, so I was grinning from ear to ear while we walked up and down our street. There were no cars, no people, no dogs - nothing but glittering flakes falling magically from the glowing sky. Here are a few shots I took from last night and this morning during one of our romps in the snow. The first image is of our view of the neighbor's house from our bedroom - I LOVE big, picture windows! ...

Before and After Images – Little Rock Wedding Photography

I use Lightroom and Photoshop in my studio to make people look better. I don't make major changes to my images, but I often touch-up  lines around the eyes and mouth, remove stray hairs, soften shiny spots on the cheeks and forehead, and reduce the appearance of blemishes. I also adjust the color & contrast of images to make them look a little more interesting, or more realistic. I also like to play around with photos by adding an artistic touch to give the image a different look that helps define my style as a photographer. As you can see, these images are pretty nice looking straight out of the camera. The 'after' images just have a more polished look and have a little more 'pop' to them. ...

Carrie, Evie and Ruby – Little Rock Family Portraits

Meet Carrie and her darling daughters, Evie and Ruby. These are the sweetest girls with wonderful, bright personalities. Evie has the most infectious little laugh and Ruby is always a happy camper and content just to be with her Mom and big sister. Our mini-session was super mini and we shot mostly indoors because the weather was too chilly for baby Ruby to be outside for more than a few minutes. I loved the purple outfits Carrie picked out - something fun and fresh for winter portraits! Here are a few of my favorite images from our time together: ...
