A few of My Favorite Things

There are many things I love in life. I thought it would be fun to share a few of my favorites with all of you today. Enjoy!  The beach - For me, a trip to the beach feels like going home. After vacationing at the same place in the same house for 25 years, Pensacola Beach feels like my second home. There's nothing more relaxing than the smell of salty sea air, a beautiful sunset and hearing the waves lap at the shoreline. Buxom lip gloss - Love that this gloss lasts for hours and the tingly feeling it has. Margaritas - La Huerta in Fayetteville and Cantina Loredo in Little Rock are my go-to spots for a good Margarita Dogs - especially, Lola, my Boston Terrier. I like cats, too by the way, but I'm a dog-lover at heart. Miss R’s Boudoir Session – Little Rock Boudoir Photography

Miss R called me a few weeks ago and wanted to schedule a session. She told me that she has a 14 month old baby and was ready to do something to give her a confidence boost and create an awesome gift for her husband. I told her that a boudoir session was the perfect thing for the occasion! One of the things I love the most about boudoir photography is how wonderful my clients feel after a session and then how AMAZING they feel once they see their images. The post below contains tasteful, but risque images. If you're not 18 or prefer not to see the images, please click here to be taken to the next post. ...

Kaylee and Colt’s Ft. Smith Wedding – Arkansas Wedding Photography

Kaylee and Colt grew up in Charleston, Arkansas and have known each other since childhood. Their love story began in high-school and after years of courtship, the two decided to buy a house together. To help ring in the celebration of their new home, Colt had a few surprises up his sleeve. He arranged for Kaylee to enjoy a day full of pampering, relaxation and gifts. After what seemed to be an unusually wonderful day for Kaylee, Colt surprised her again and popped the question! The happy couple was married October 15th at the Eastside Baptist Church in Ft. Smith. Kaylee was calm and collected all day. When I arrived she was relaxed and even running ahead of schedule. That, my friends, is a true feat on a wedding day! The rest of the day unfolded just as gracefully as Kaylee expected. We even had a few minutes of light after their evening ceremony to capture some portraits of the bride and groom. Doesn't Kaylee make a stunning bride? Gorgeous, right?!? Kaylee's bridesmaids were SO MUCH FUN!! Each of these girls were super sweet and clearly wonderful friends to Kaylee. Family and friends celebrated with Kaylee and Colt at the Hardscrabble Country club in Ft....

What to Wear – Little Rock Holiday Portraits

It's a what to wear blog post! One of the questions I get asked often is "what should we wear?" Your clothing choices are an important part of creating beautiful photographs. For a family session, it's important that your outfits compliment eachother, but not match exactly. Choose a few colors that you like and mix it up, match it up and layer. Accessories and shoes can help bring your look together, so add scarves, jewelry and hats to create a cohesive look. Since we're approaching the family and holiday portrait season, I thought it would be a great idea to share a few ideas on what to wear to help you put together a great family look for your session. All of the clothes, shoes and accessories can be found at Gap, Old Navy and Piperlime. ...

Emily & Geoff are Married – North Little Rock Wedding Photography

Emily and Geoff were married on 10-1-11. The ceremony was intimate and lovely. The North Little Rock Junior League building was the perfect spot for this couple to exchange vows. Geoff is from Canada and the two live in Memphis, but Emily is from the Little Rock area so they decided to have a small, very personal and meaningful wedding. Emily's father is a pastor at Cedar Heights Baptist Church in North Little Rock, and he and her brother performed the ceremony. There was laughter, there were tears and in the end there were many hugs. It was a beautiful wedding followed by a fun reception for more family and friends at the Cedar Heights reception hall. Did I mention the fun? Emily was a super fun, super relaxed and super easy-going bride. She put together a whimsical fall color scheme for the wedding that included turquoise shoes for the bride and matching argyle socks for the groom - I LOVED it! Here are a few of my favorite images from Geoff and Emily's wedding: Charlie, Emily's Dad, was so sweet. I love the moment when a father sees his daughter for the first time on her wedding day. Priceless. There was lots of...
