I've been super busy lately getting the new studio office together, but I've also been busy shooting! Part II – Tori and Scott’s Little Rock Wedding Portraits

Wednesday, I shared some of Tori and Scott's beautiful pink and white wedding. Today, I'm sharing their portraits. Tori wanted to be sure we had plenty of time for all of the family photos and extra time for her and Scott's portraits, so we added an extra thirty minutes to her timeline giving them a full hour for bride/groom portraits - I love it whenever a bride and groom decide to do this. I promise that you won't regret spending an extra half an hourĀ  in front of the camera on your wedding day! Here are a few of my favorites: ...

Part I – Tori and Scott’s St. James Wedding in Little Rock

Tori and Scott were married this past weekend. The day was full of family, friends, love and laughter. Scott is clearly an amazing man and father, and will certainly be a wonderful husband to Tori. Tori is already a fantastic and adoring mother to Scott's two girls. This is one beautiful family inside and out, and I am so glad that I was there to document their union. Here are a few of my favorite's from the day, but stay tuned - more of Tori and Scott's wedding photos will be on the blog later this week! Tori's bridesmaids and house party were a total blast all day! Beautiful girls, too! Tori and Scott opted for a first look. They were able to spend a few quiet moments together before the family portraits and ceremony began. Aren't Scott's girls just stunning?? A couple of great detail shots by Miranda, my second shooter! ...

Little Rock Boudoir Shoot at the Capitol Hotel

Boudoir is just so darn fun! It's fun for me. It's fun for the makeup artist. It's fun for my clients - who wouldn't have fun getting dolled up, made over and told repeatedly how beautiful you are?? Plain and simple. Fun. I know fun isn't probably not what you think of when you think boudoir. You probably think lingerie, Victoria's Secret models, pouty lips and bedroom eyes. Well, there's all of that, too. But boudoir is more than the images. The great thing about a boudoir shoot is that for most of my clients, it's a time when they can let their hair down and enjoy feeling pretty. Enjoy feeling like a woman and a boost of confidence. Sure, posing during one of these sessions can be a workout, but it's also a blast! Who wouldn't feel pampered spending an afternoon having her hair and makeup professionally done followed by an hour or more with me, my camera and a hairdryer with a really long extension cord to create that awesome windblown look?? Seriously. It's fun! Here are a few of my favorite images from a recent session, well, the favorites that my client will let me share since she's keeping...

Meredith and John-Michael’s Rustic Little Rock Wedding

Meredith and John-Michael's wedding was a fabulous mix of rustic, beautiful, laid back and just plain fun! The ceremony took place at Fellowship Bible in West Little Rock and the reception followed at Wildwood Park. Here are a few of my favorite details, portraits and moments from the day. Stay tuned tomorrow for round two of Meredith and John-Michael's wedding day portraits! Meredith and John-Michael decided to have a first look. I always encourage my clients to do this since it allows more time for your couple portraits AND cuts down on the time you'll spend doing formal family portraits. Meredith and John-Michael spent a few private moments together before Meredith gave her groom his gift, a custom embossed family bible, and then we began shooting portraits. How gorgeous is this wedding party?? The entrance at Fellowship Bible was a fantastic location for some casual group portraits. Meredith returned her purity ring to her father during the ceremony. It was a very touching moment between father and daughter. Rachel Haynes did an amazing job at coordination and Central Arkansas Entertainment kept the party going strong all night long. The reception was the perfect balance of tradition, unique details and a party on the dance...

Christine and Brian’s Little Rock Engagement Portraits

Christine and Brian are getting married in December, and I'm very excited about being part of their wedding and documenting the day. They decided they wanted something green and natural for their engagement portraits, so we headed out early in the morning to Knoop Park for their session. The morning light was beautiful and Christine and Brian look adorable - clearly these two are head over heels for eachother! This first photo may be my favorite engagement portrait to date. I love how happy these two are together and how easily Brian can make Christine laugh. ...

Baby James’ Little Rock Newborn Portraits

My friends Pamela and Jim had their baby boy, James, almost two weeks ago. Several weeks ago, we shot their maternity portraits, so I've been waiting anxiously for the text to let me know that their bundle of joy had arrived. This little boy has a very sweet and calm personality. While he wasn't thrilled about being out of his swaddle and diaper, he was a trooper and we captured some precious memories for this new family. Here are a few of my favorites from their newborn portrait session: Charlie, the dachshund, had to get the portrait love as well. He's adjusting well to his new brother and tried every chance he could to get in a few good licks. I love this moment between Pamela and her Mom. There's nothing more special than the love between a mother, her daughter and new grandson. Congratulations, Pamela and Jim! I can't wait to photograph baby James as he grows up!!  ...
